Will was born with ten fingers, but they were bent and stiff. His parents prayed that someday he could use his hands like other children do. Will's cat Angel, was his loving and loyal companion. Look for her on every page.

The book is closely based on the childhood of the author's son Gentry William Burke. He was born with a rare condition, Arthrogyrposis. Yet using his hands in a unique way, he became a classically trained pianist.

Round pine straw bales are perfect and ideal for large scale landscaping projects.

There is a lot going on at Pinecone!

It is an exciting week here at Pinecone Home and Garden...

Our mums are arriving daily as they begin to show color.

Fall vegetables are now available.

Wednesday 2:00-3:00pm Story Hour for preschool children - Ms Greenjeans will be reading lovely little stories and have the children interact with each topic. We will be learning how to grow carrots, watching caterpillars turn into Monarch butterflies, planting seeds and even get to pet live farm animals. A great time for grandparents as well!

Our "Yoga in the Garden" starts this week also -Green Bear Fitness is offering Yoga classes every Monday and Wednesday 6:30-7:30am in our Pinecone Botanical Garden. What a refreshing way to begin your day!

This Thursday evening from 5:00 - 7:00pm is "Cravin Wine in the Garden" - Cravin Wine is partnering with Pinecone to have a wine tasting. There will be 3 different wines to sample with 3 food pairings. $15.00/person. Come and enjoy great wine, delicious food and good friends!

Tuesday, 9/22 GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM - "Plants, Paintings and Punch" A silent auction of Artwork done by local artists to benefit the Coastal Coalition for Substance Abuse. An evening to enjoy and help create communities free of substance abuse.
