The month of January is named after "Janus", the Roman God of beginnings. This first month of the new year let us start by relaxing, restoring and pampering ourselves.We have all made it through the holidays and now are dealing with unusual cold keeping us snuggled indoors. 
We can do this by nurturing our gardening instincts with brightly colored plants .
