Just a reminder of our first lecture for 2015 -
The "Trouble with Tomatoes", this coming Saturday, March 12th at 11:00 in the garden center, rain or shine. Our own grower, Rob will explain the whys, hows, do's and don'ts in the tomato world. He will also describe some of the vegetable varieties he has chosen to grow for this year's growing menu. Rob is the garden guru when it comes to vegetables. You will learn quite a bit on the subject and be entertained as well so mark it on your calendar as something smart and fun to do this weekend!A few more bits of gardening interest:
- All of our cool weather veggies are in waiting to be popped into the spring soil.
- Our new gift shop "The Purple Orchid" is almost finished as far as the construction goes. This is a very special new additon to Pinecone. Just bursting at the seams with a vast variety of home and garden related items, it will surprise and delight!
- Trucks full of shrubs and trees arrive weekly and we regulary take special orders for selections we do not have presently but you are looking for to complete your "Wish List".
- We are now taking orders for Easter lilies. please call in your order no later than March 23rd.
